Softening lines and wrinkles

Lines on the forehead, around the eyes and between the brows result from repeated muscle movement during normal facial expression. As skin loses elasticity with age, these lines can remain visible even when the face is at rest.

Damien offers consultations for facial lines and wrinkles. During your consultation she assesses the areas of concern, discusses what is causing them and explains the treatment options available, including any that involve prescription-only medicines. Lines around the mouth and nose, the chin, the jawline and the neck can also be assessed.

Treatments for expression lines are temporary. Duration varies between people and is discussed at your consultation.

Risks and recovery

Common effects include temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or small bruises at the treatment site, usually settling within a few days. Less common effects include headache, asymmetry, drooping of the brow or eyelid, or a result that is weaker or stronger than expected. Rare effects include allergic reaction or infection. Most people return to normal activities the same day. Damien explains the risks relevant to you before any treatment and provides written aftercare.
